Free, no account. It plays in your browser about two seconds behind the studio, and holds a little more in reserve on a weak connection so it doesn't cut out.

Times are Eastern. Between shows, Kilocycle All Genres plays a bit of everything.

Call in

Call-ins are coming soon. Here's how they'll work: during live call-in shows, open the call page on your phone or computer, give your first name and what you'd like to talk about, and wait for the host to pick up. No phone number and no app: your voice goes straight from your browser to the studio. Use earbuds, and turn the station off on that device so it doesn't echo.

The weekly call-in show is Weekend Open Line, Saturdays 11 AM to 1 PM Eastern.

About the station

Kilocycle Radio is Rory Corn's station, and everything on it, from the music to the studio, was built from scratch. The name comes from early radio, when dials were marked in kilocycles before anyone said kilohertz.

Mixed like a DJ

Every song is measured for tempo, key and energy. The next song is picked to fit the last one, and the two are blended: a long mix with a bass swap when they match, a smooth crossfade when they don't.

Live, almost instantly

Hosts broadcast from a phone or a computer, and listeners hear them about two seconds later instead of the usual ten to fifteen.

A studio in the browser

The host's console has an equalizer, compressor, voice changer, sound pads, phone lines for callers and a profanity delay, all in a web page.
